Description:

Hello, I'm Serafeena. I am a four paw declawed 5 year old lady and looking for a forever family, a real one, as I've been let down so many times in my short life. I was surrendered to animal control by my "family" through no fault of my own and then have been adopted and returned TWICE to St. Sophia's. I don't understand why and neither does my foster mom. Sure I am a bit shy when I first meet you, but once I get comfortable with you I am the sweetest most laid back girl. I'm pretty much a lump, I move around my foster home from sleep spot to sleep spot and love to sit on my foster mom's lap and binge tv. I am extremely easy going and get along fine with other cats, we don't snuggle or anything but I cohabitate with everyone happily, even the chill chihuahua in my foster home is good in my book. Oh and kids are good in my book too as long as they aren't too wild, I like a lowkey life! Same with the animals, I dont mind other cats or even easy going dogs but I plan to cohabitate, not cuddle or play. My ideal home would be a quiet, mellow household by myself or with just a couple other laid back other pets who wont get in my face. Now for the important thing, I don't handle transition well. Once I am settled, I am a gem of a cat and any family would be lucky to have me. My most recent family returned me back to St. Sophia's not because they didn't care for me, but because I stopped eating when I first went to their house. When a cat stops eating even for a few days it is serious business and they delayed taking me into a vet. I went into a condition called hepatic lipidosis, basically my liver stopped working because of my anorexia and when they did take me in to the vet, the vet told them it would take a temporary feeding tube to save my life since I had gotten so bad and so they returned me back to St. Sophia's rather than care for me. I had a feeding tube in to get me healthy again and I began to eat on my own again but I am a picky eater. I predominately eat homemade cat food (easily meal prepped once every few weeks using boneless, skinless chicken breast and something called EZComplete to make sure it has all the nutrients I need to stay healthy) or sometimes I like Mitten's Morsels wet cat food, specifically in the beef flavor and I nibble at dry food to snack but not enough to actually sustain myself. Now I am all better and looking for a FOREVER home. My new family will have to keep a close eye on me initially to make sure I am eating to keep me from getting sick again but if you put in time, you will be rewarded with possibly the most kind, gentle, and loving cat to ever exist. I promise I am worth it. Serafeena is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites, and combo-tested negative for FIV/Leuk. Her adoption fee is $125.
